Day After Day Gomen Doing The Moron Things.
Folks, makin lama Gomen kita makin mati akal. They are doing mindboggling things with little or no thinking put in. Then when it becomes too controversial they either cancel it, "tarik balik', drop the subject or just Flip Flop.
1. The Gomen's overeagerness on the TPPA shows the Gomen really does not know what is best for the country. The Gomen is drifting in La La land.
2. Now the Gomen is considering crafting another law to replace the Emergency Ordinance that has been abolished. Who asked you to abolish the Emergency Ordinance and the ISA in the first place?
No one asked for the EO to be abolished. The Pembangkang only asked to abolish the ISA. The abolishment of the ISA plus the EO took even the Pembangkang by surprise. Pembangkang pun terkejut. Now the Gomen itself says crime is rising because the EO has been abolished !! Tak nampak bodoh ke bang?
3. After that the Gomen tried to rush through the "Unilateral Religious Conversion Bill" - another piece of really tak masuk akal legislation. Only to create another huge controversy and then having to "tarik balik" that Bill also. Another flip flop - nampak bodoh lagi. What is wrong with the Gomen?
4. Then the Gomen went and established diplomatic ties with the Vatican. Some guy wearing a dress representing the Vatican is now in town and saying silly things that have only stirred up more useless, totally useless religious tension in this perfect land. Pasal apa pi jemput mangkuk hayun macam ini masuk negara kita?
Every other day the Gomen seems to be shooting itself in the foot (or in the @$$). Cant they get anything right?
5. Norman Fernandez has already spoken about the Gomen's plan to give refugees jobs.
6. And here is another controversial action - now the Gomen wants NON-MUSLIM students in private universities to study Islamic Civilisation as compulsory TITAS subjects. Pasal apa pula?

I received the following comment about this matter from a Muslim friend (who is a Tan Sri) :
"Hello Syed :- Titas compulsory for all students at private institutions (IPTS) - What the d*ck is DPM talking about? U go to a univeristy to study 3 compulsory un-applicable and irrelevant job criteria subjects?
Ya Allah please do deliver some grey matter to Malaysian Ministry of Education and Minister for Education rather than "empty craniums" on their shoulder or maybe better send a Tsunami to wipe these "aliens" in Malaysia and wipe them off !!! Duh.
What ketuanan ? The Malays are screwed big time already as many unfortunate ones (the poor who cannot afford quality education) are in the Stone Age. The others who have chosen not to send their children to the sekolah kebangsaan are doing well. 60,000 Malays in Chinese schools - what does it say ? Politics, stupidity and corruption = Malaysia's rojak jawa."
I agree with you Bro. Pasal apa nak paksa siapa pun - penuntut Islam ke penuntut bukan Islam ke - belajar matapelajaran yang tak praktikal dan tak berguna untuk apa pun? What Islamic Civilisation are you talking about? The Islamic Civilisation is a failed civilisation.
Kahwin empat is good for you? Di negeri kita Shiah tidak diterima. Di negeri Shiah, kita pula tidak diterima. Sesiapa yang murtad patut dihukum bunuh? Is that the Islamic Civilisation you are talking about?
And how is this going to help anyone get any job at all? Imagine a job interview :
Q: Can you tell us about your previous working experiences?
A : The Islamic Empire expanded from East to West.
Q : How do you earn the confidence of customers of different races?
A : Saladdin the Great defeated King Richard in the Crusades.
So what? What has that have to do with the price of fish in Somalia? Or in Malaysia?
And what happened to 1 Malaysia? Sudah bungkus ke? If we force the non-Muslims (aka Chinese) to study an irrelevant religious subject it only drives our society further apart.
Bang, cuba pikiaq macam ini : do you think Muslim students will like it if they are forced to study Hindu Civilisation or Christian Civilisation? Mesti dia tak suka kan? Habis macam mana pula anak Cina nak rasa seronok belajar Tamaddun Islam pula? Terutama sekali Tamaddun Islam yang sudah gagal?

Havent you heard of the Golden Rule? Here it is :
- The Golden Rule or ethic of reciprocity is a maxim, ethical code or morality that essentially states either of the following:
- (Positive form of Golden Rule): One should treat others as one would like others to treat oneself.
- (Negative form of Golden Rule): One should not treat others in ways that one would not like to be treated.
And the BN is going to break up. (Since the elections are over) the MCA's Gan Ping Sieu has made a Press statement disagreeing with this idea. Gan says : “Ours is a plural society. We shall all endeavour to maintain this blissful nation with its rich diversity. To make study of a single religion-civilisation compulsory for non-followers of that religion-civilisation is a step backward from national harmony.”
Well said Gan. I agree with you here totally, though there are doubts about your real commitment to "rich diversity" in this "blissful nation". (After reading Helen Ang's Blog I agree that you do sound like a Born Again 'City Harvest' Church fellow.)
But what Gan says is to be noted. This is a very big step backward from national harmony.
And why is the MIC keeping so quiet like a door mouse over this matter? Maybe the MIC wants to be a door elephant. Here is a picture of our door elephant. It never roars at all.

And where is that Waythamoorthy dunggu? Betulke he is running away from a Long John? I say anna stop kor*k hidung ok. You are a Deputy Minister now. Say something useful for a change. Speak up.
And if Islamic Civilisation studies are so important why are foreign students EXEMPTED from taking these subjects. Apa pasal pula? Why are only NON MUSLIM Malaysian students forced to take these subjects?
Is it some kind of punishment for Malaysian Non Muslims?
Want to know the answer? It is simple. Because if you force foreign students to study Islamic Civilisation it will discourage them from coming to study in Malaysian private universities. You dont need to be a rocket scientist to figure that out. Imagine the headlines in some foreign country - 'Malaysian universities force Islamic studies on all foreign students."
This will mean dwindling business and reduced fee income for these private universities. And who owns these 'private universities'? Usually UMNO and BN cronies. So to save their own pocket they give exemptions for foreign students.
If you think Islamic Civilisation is useful for NON MUSLIM Malaysians then the same argument should apply for foreign students. And what about foreign students who are Muslims? Will they be exempted as well? If they are exempted then it really does not make sense.
I think this Islamic Civilisation studies are being made compulsory to :
i. create employment for the unemployable ostat fellows
ii. to help crony book publishers sell more Islamic books which cannot be sold elsewhere
or something silly like that.
(They changed the livery (colour and appearance) on the MAS A380 Airbus so that the stationery, crockery and napkin suppliers can make money. Petronas and some Ministries have changed their logo to give new contracts to the stationery suppliers and ad agencies. Its all about someone making easy money.) Janganlah buat kerja bodoh. Buat lah kerja dengan baik.
Kalau bukan senang nak jadi pandai macam itu juga bukan susah nak jadi 'tak bodoh'.
